Frequently Asked Questions

Company

We believe that home modifications are about more than just safety. They are an invitation to experience life beyond the home. So whether it’s attending a grandchild's sporting event or dancing around a Jukebox with friends, we’re here to help older adults live their lives to the fullest.

When it comes to making your home safer, it is critical to have a trained home safety expert, such as an occupational therapist, assess your home. Unlike a contractor or handyman, these experts have the clinical expertise to thoroughly evaluate your home, medical history and other aspects of daily living that are crucial to choosing safe and sensible home modifications.

When working with Jukebox Health, we pair you with an experienced occupational therapist whose #1 mission is to be on your team - making sure every product suggested and installed is just right for your needs, budget and style.

Jukebox Health serves families nationwide. We work with trusted occupational therapists and installers in all 50 states.

Our client care team is available to answer any questions via text or phone Monday-Friday from 9am-6pm EST. Our number is (212) 321-5113 or you can email us at hello@jukeboxhealth.com

Insurance & Cost

Some Medicare Advantage, Life Insurance and Long Term Care plans offer home modifications as a supplemental benefit. We suggest you call your provider to learn the specifics of what your plan can offer in regards to home safety.

If your health insurance does not cover home modifications, Jukebox Health can help you find the most affordable options through Wisetack Financing. With Wisetack, your dedicated project manager will work with you to create a payment plan for up to 60 months. We are able to create financing options that comfortably fit your budget for any home modifications between $500-$25,000.

Our products and services are priced competitively with other retailers and handymen, but the overall cost of a project depends on the scope of the work and the number of improvements you want to make to your home. We tell families to expect an average project to cost around $2,500.

This often includes safety improvements in several rooms – grab bars, shower chairs, non-skid bath mats, motion sensor lighting and other common sense upgrades. For comparison, this is less than half of what one can expect to pay for just one month in an assisted living facility.

Products

Our product catalog includes over 800 products that have all been hand selected by licensed occupational therapists and aging-in-place specialists. The therapist who conducts your home safety checkup will create a personalized report just for you, highlighting the products they think are the best fit. They use our catalog to search for the trusted products that keep your needs, budget and style in mind.

Many of the products in our catalog are easy to set up and don’t need professional labor. However, for products that do require installation, we offer you the option to work with our vetted installers. We’ve searched far and wide to find the most reputable and experienced professionals, and we stand by their work.
